I've been running Win7 on my Mini9 since beta 1. I've always had sleep/resume issues with the 32G STEC SSD
. Due to that, I just disable sleep and leave the machine on all the time with the lid closed. Since loading RTM a couple days ago, however, the video driver crashes several times a day when I open the lid to use it. It sometimes recovers, but about one in three times, I have to power cycle the machine. I tried updating to the newest Intel 945 driver (188.8.131.525) with the same results. I'm bummed- I could live without sleep, but this crummy video driver really makes it suck.
-- EDIT --
I just found a way to repro this 100% very quickly. Under the Power Options control panel, set the following on the current power plan under "Change advanced settings":
- Power buttons and lid -> Lid Close Action: Do Nothing
- Display -> Dim Display After: 1 minute
- Display -> Turn off Display After: 1 minute
OK, close power options. Then close the lid for longer than 2 minutes.
Can somone else who has the RTM loaded verify this on their Mini9?
