Up and running again thanks to drivers listed at beginning of this thread. I had previously attempted to download drivers direct from Dell according to my service tag and things became bungled somehow. Again, thanks for the effort and time to provide this site and its relevant threads/info. Thanks, michael.

Hey, everybody. It looks like Dell may have corrected whatever screw-up they did, as it seems that the original links to Dell's ftp site are working again! Enjoy your downloading.

I doubt I am the only one who called them on it but I did give three different techs a thorough reaming two weeks ago when I spoke to them as well as a very heated customer survey regarding my contact with them. So to everyone who did call along with me...at least they listened to someone and did the right thing by correcting it.

Just been banging my head against the proverbial brick wall over this one! Go to the Dell website, top right of the homepage select "Technical Support", then "Drivers and Downloads", then select your model (Service Tag is on the underneath of your laptop/netbook next to a barcode, usually) and a page will appear with a table of driver results. Select "Applications" from the driver list tab of 38 and at the bottom is the Battery Meter Driver! ![]()

OMG .. 147 comments on 15 pages! I wil have to decline reading them all but I am more than pleased to attest to the incredible gift of this site. At first I couldn't read what model my mini was, as the labelwas so badly ruined and then a magnifying glass rescued me! Alas a 910 but where to ger drivers. A 'friend' of mine attempted to repair it after it crashed. Wellheh got my windows back on but that was it. Having downloaded the drivers .. right from Google to the forum here!... to another pc and then my external backup drive for my mini I now have no driver issues! Evreything actuallyworks! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Doubtful I have anything to give back but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to share.

Your post has helped me get my upgrade working perfectly. I am now running Win 7 Pro, with all of the extra features of the original Win XP package including the Wireless On/Off switch and the Battery Meter. With the posts of others including the JMicron files I now have a perfect Device Manager for all of the hardware. Final Configuration: Win 7 Pro 32 G Runcore 2 G Crucial RAM Thanks to all and the Dell Forum admins. ![]() ![]() ![]()
