Thank you for bringing this to my attention, CHUK. Apparently, Dell has removed many of the Mini 9's files from their FTP site. When I have time, I'll try to find alternative sources. My original post has been updated with a link for one of the files you requested.

Like you, I was looking for both of the drivers. Well I have found it. /drivers/Mboard/Dell/Netbook-intel-atom/ It might be a little slow, but it is working. cookiemonster, you might want to replace the link for the battery meter. findfiles returned a 404 error when clicking on your link.

I replaced the SSD on my Dell Mini 9. Installed Windows XP with original OEM XP CD that came with Mini via an old external USB CD-Rom drive. Is my next step to locate an external DVD drive in order to install Dell Drivers from DVD originally shipped with the unit? Any alternatives ? As I will need to secure the use of an external DVD drive which will only slow this process even more. Thanks for any help in advance and apologies if I have posted this query in the wrong section. My knowledge of all this quite limited, but I can follow most instruction provided things do not become overly involved.

If you don't have easy access to a DVD drive, I would first try to download all the appropriate drivers for your laptop that you can find here. Then see if you have any unidentified hardware in your Device Manager. At least here you can get newer versions of many of the drivers. Alternatively, if you have access to any desktop computer with a DVD drive, you might be able to simply transfer the files from your drivers disc to a USB "thumbdrive" or external hard drive. Hope you get it working.

Up and running again thanks to drivers listed at beginning of this thread. I had previously attempted to download drivers direct from Dell according to my service tag and things became bungled somehow. Again, thanks for the effort and time to provide this site and its relevant threads/info. Thanks, michael.
