Now the PC does nothing except power on the power led. I thougth that the BIOS is erased, and I can`t do anything with the Mini 9.
What can I do with my dead laptop?
Call Dell, tell them the laptop is "dead".

They'll send someone to collect it from your home, fix it and send it back to you 8 days later...
I asked DELL about my problem and the they sent a tech rep with a new mother board in less than 48 hours and now I have my Mini 9 working again.

I did“t check what BIOS version it has because I“ll never try to update it !!!

My Mini9 came back from tech support today.

According to the paper that was in the package with it, they changed the motherbord, the LCD screen, the palmrest and the case... All that for a dead BIOS, don't ask why, I have no clue.

I got an "old" motherboard : no WWAN connector, A00 bios, setup to may 2008.

But, worst of all, some keys are now dead on the keyboard (most of them being at the bottom right of the keyboard). Alt-GR for example is dead, while Del still work.

Guess it's leaving back tomorrow 8-(

Even better : BlueTooth is gone !

I opened the Mini9 and the BT module is just "not here anymore".

I must be stupid or something.

I found another old flash drive laying around & used HP tools to format drive so it is bootable then I copied over A02. I'm able to boot of the drive just fine. But when I type in 910_A02.exe I'm told I can't run this from DOS! What am I doing wrong?
