Default Pulled the trigger on my 9..... - 05-13-2009, 10:31 PM

First, thats just sounds funny.

Anyway, just ordered a base model through the dell outlet. (8gig ssd and 512mb w/ xp)

Ordered a previously ordered new model for $270 and also a runcore 64g and 2g ram. I got the dell confirmation email of it being shipped, but something is really weird. There is a description in the email of the computer and it says: "Base,No Bios,N270,1.6,512K". No bios? Im not super computer savvy, but does that mean a bios upgrade or what because Im pretty sure you need a bios to have a working computer.

Anyway, pretty excited as Ive been needing a new computer as mine is starting to s**t the bed and wanted something really portable and on the grounds of what mine is now. (inspiron 600m from 5years ago)

You should be fine. All of mine said that and they came complete with the BIOS.

On both of the Mini 9's I've ordered it said the same thing. You shouldn't have any issues at all. I thought it kind of strange too, but then again, I take a look at a lot of things Dell does as being kind of strange.
