I think you can do "dd" on Windows under Cygwin

How many people have to brick their mini before people realize-
THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION BUTTON.
Once you run the EXE, it starts the process..
DO NOT unplug / shut it down. leave it alone. If it takes an hour, it takes an hour. Just let it do its thing.
Shut everything down BEFORE you run the update

Quick question.
Are there any available USB enclosures, like the ones used for hard drives, that I could place a floppy drive into?
I have about 4-5 old computers sitting around that all have 3 1/2 inch floppy drives in them.
I even still have a very old 5 inch floppy drive that takes the flexible floppy disks.

I haven't ever seen one of those - floppy drives have a different connector than disk/CD drives. I did a web search and found a product that sort of went the other way, allowing you to replace an internal floppy drive with a USB flash drive, but not what you want. I would guess that such a thing might cost almost as much as buying a regular USB floppy drive.

there is no need for a USB floppy you can do it with a USB memory stick (or pendriver, or whatever you want to call it

Have a look at my post in this thread

BIG Props to you guys. Saved my son's mini9 from brickdom.

(by the way, the utility to make the USB drive doesn't work in Windows 7 64bit)
