I can offer limited help on that. I have previously used VirtualDub to join two Avi files.

A. I believe it only works on a PC
B. Not sure if it works on .mov files (probably not) so depending on the format your video is in, this may or may not be helpful.

I guess if it doesn't work, you can't find anything else and you get desperate, you can rip all of your movies to AVI individually, join them with virtualdub, then rip them to your final format. Not ideal, I know, but if you run out of other options, this will work (eventually.)
