Unhappy Just got my Mini 9... Battery Question - 04-11-2009, 02:55 PM

I just got my new mini 9, and this keyboard is definitely going to take some getting used to!

Anyway, I ordered mine "NIB" from eBay, and it definitely looks, feels, and acts new. However, the battery wasn't charged at all. I hooked up the A/C adapter, and the white light is solid on the power light indicator, just like it should be. My question is that the battery status icon in the task tray by the clock shows that there is a 0% charge on the battery, and has for nearly an 30 minutes. Is my battery actually charging? After it was in for about 20 minutes I unhooked the AC adapter and the thing just turned off. Is this normal behavior? I figure I will just let it charge for a few hours until the light goes off now.

After that, I am going to install OS X!

look at your user manual. the light setup doesn't make sense on the first impression.

Hello !

When I got my mini (French, Ubuntu, 1g/8g) the first time, it was acting exactly the same. I tried plane mode ON/OFF and other tips.
In the end, only the BIOS upgrade to A03 made it act normal.
I recommend you upgrade your BIOS to the latest version (A05). If this does not solve your issue, I cannot help you more, sorry !
