Did anyone tested if there's a difference in battery life when using a "clear" background+theme against a "dark" one ?

EXCELLENT wallpapers here, but they will require a little cropping to work as the site is mostly for dual or triple monitor wallpapers.

It won't make a lick of difference. The LED's in the screen are going to be on no matter what kind of background you have, and that's where the power draw comes from--the LED's. There may be slightly less work for the graphics card, but the difference is going to be so minimal that you won't notice.
