I've noticed a slight increase of write speeds, with a similar decrease in read
times.

(off-topic)
I've noticed that a few people are getting RAM running at 667Mhz on the mini 9.
Anyone know why my Corsair running at 533Mhz With 4-4-4-8 timings,
( the ram Dell sent with it ran at 533 but with 4-4-4-12 timings)

I guess the runcore more them makes up for it though

The fastest any RAM will run on the Mini 9/Vostro A90 is 533MHz. It doesn't matter if you put in 533/667/800 DDR2 RAM, it will run at 533. It is a hardware limitation.

I am also looking for B6. I might have it saved on my Mini somewhere. I will check when I get home and if I have it I will post it up.

ill post b5 and beta6 as well as uninstall instructions up here for future reference.

Quote:
Uninstall- Beta4 above

3. Then, double click LowerFilters (It should have ‘diskfp’)
4. Remove ‘diskfp’
5. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Service-diskfp
6. Remove whole diskfp (Select diskfp, push delete key)
7. Reboot
ill definitely be saving both of those in my archives

I have to assume that the betas were removed for a reason. It might not be wise to continue using this if the developer is not supporting it.

I can't imagine not using it. Even with my Runcore there is a difference. On my girlfriend's mini (32gb STEC SSD) the performance boost is unbelievable, completely changes the experience of using the Mini, definitely worth an occasional reformat (+ backing up data regularly), it is that good.
