Default Dropbox works strangely - 03-31-2009, 06:27 PM

I am trying to install Dropbox but or I am stupid or there is something wrong in it. So the problem is this: I install Dropbox without problems but I notice that it takes on the SSD the space of syncronized files. So if for example I upload a 200mb file the ssd space falls of 200mb. It shouldn't be an online space? Why it stores the files on my computer?

Thanks for any help!!!

Dropbox is doing what it's supposed to be doing. It's designed to keep files automatically sync'ed on separate computers. You add a file to DropBox, and the changes are synced to any other computers that you have linked. If you don't want that behavior, you can go online into your account, and unlink your computer. You won't get synced any more, but you can download files from your online account by hand. Doesn't really seem to be a good use of DropBox, but it should work for you.
