Just having a look on the dell web site. If you go through the order process for a dell mini 9 ( £229 version ) and up the memory to 2GB their is no additional charge, So you get 2GB for the same price as a 1GB machine.

Thought it may be helpful for those about to order.

I tried to customise it, and could not see an option for 2GB. Is this in the Business section ?

In the home section, select the £229 model and then customise. Under memory you can change to 2GB for nothing.

I noticed this today when I placed my order. The option for purchasing a 64gb SSD was also available, has this always been listed as I don't recall seeing this option last Saturday when I very nearly placed my order? £80 for the 32gb or only £89 for the 64gb. An easy decision which to choose.

Just placed my order! Came to £259 (and a penny!) for the 16GB SSD and the 2GB RAM. Just need to get myself a OSX Leopard disk now!

Just to help any confused people looking to buy a Mini with Xp none of these options appear to be for you (at present) I think that I read elsewhere on this site that Dell can only sell Xp on a Mini if it has a max of 1 gig of Ram otherwise MS decree that it has to have Vista - bit I can't understand though is the reason for not offering larger capacity drives.

Argh! Ordered yesterday and today they're £20 cheaper... I shall have to give them a ring to see if I can cancel and re-order or get them to change the price on my order. It's in the pre-production stage so shouldn't think it will be too much of a problem.

A couple of chaps at work have just ordered theirs and the code worked. They ordered it with the 16GB SSD and free 2GB upgrade (I wonder if they have noticed this) for £215.11 inc delivery and VAT. Pretty good with the £23.90 discount from the 10% voucher code?
