most likely a typo since 2gb is max ram as far as i know.
and to the other post above this one, i was hoping for a webcam too but i realize i rarely use the webcam on my current macbook.
i'll like to provide an update here:
as noted above, i purchased a 64 gb ssd
, 2 gb ram, no camera, no bluetooth, ubuntu black mini 9 for a little under 340. it was a refurbed unit. i ordered on the 17th and got it yesterday (march 24).
upon inspection of the mini 9, i notice that there were almost no scratches except for two 1-inch lines that ran parallel to one another. in fact, i might have caused the scratches myself using my own fingernails when i took it out of the box. overall, everything was in great condition. the only real complaint are the 2 stickers inside the laptop, the "intel atom processor" and the "n-series". those were lopsided and so i will be removing those soon.
everything worked fine. the ubuntu OS was okay but my real intention was installing mac osx which went smoothly with the helpful guides on this forum.
additionally, i took a look at the dell packaging today and noticed that it came with a bunch of CDs. there were the typical drivers CD and the applications CD. what i found strange was the presence of a microsoft works 9.0 CD and a windows xp home edition service pack 3 for ultra low cost pcs CD. seeing how my dell came with ubuntu, i believe dell shipped it in error.
yay for free software? i haven't used the xp cd nor do i plan to since mac os x is running beautifully.
overall, i had a very very good experience with my first ever dell product
