Newbie here. Waiting on delivery of my Mini 9, along w/ 2 other friends. We caught Friday's deal and couldn't pass it up. We all bought the same configuration (ubuntu and 64GB SSD
) and want the same setup (dual boot XP and OSX). And yes, we have legal copies of XP and OSX for our own uses.
We're going to use one machine first as the guinea pig. After the first multiboot config is done, we were thinking the easiest would be to clone that working drive and just copy it to the other two.
What is the best way to do this? We have access to 8GB flash drives and any number of USB HDDs. I've read about True Image and running dd on ubuntu, but it wasn't clear to me if those methods properly set up the MBR and partitions. We figure that this would also give us a backup of the working image.
Ideas? Thanks. We are SO anxious to start playing w/ these things.
