Default Uncompress Windows - 10-23-2008, 07:03 PM

How do I uncompress the windows and all hard drive contents? I want the computer to run a little faster. I don't need the extra space.

Not necessary. There is a reason its compressed. It runs faster that way. Reads are faster. Writes a bit slower.

What I did: after the install from the Dell XP CD - reboot using the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows and then right click your drive, select properties, uncheck Compress drive to save disk space and hit apply. As you are not using the version of windows on the SSD it will be able to uncompress everything.
