N3. It is rather long, though, so it puts stress on the jack if pressure is applied. I only verified that it works - I have not used it on a regular basis. If I were to use it a lot I might see about adding some sort of insulating washer(s) so that it would not wiggle.
N3 was the first one I tried, but it was too long and, like you said, seemed to put too much stress on the jack.
Then, N14 looked right, and had the right voltage, and it fits better, but still not perfect.

The search continues...

That looks very interesting, but I don't see the Mini 9 in the list of compatible laptops. I guess I'll contact them.

I contacted Dell sales and they said this charger is not compatible with mini9. still looking for alternatives.

I have this adapter for my Dell D420
it puts out 19.5V instead of 19V for the mini and the connector is slightly different.

I think it's easy to make an adapter for the connector, but what about 19.5V would that give trouble to the mini ?
