Default Updates & space - 02-27-2009, 03:31 PM

As we all know space is very important in our Mini's. Can anyone tell me when Windows our Java or adobe install updates they don't take out the old ones and things keep piling up in our limited hard drives. My question is are all these old things necessary? Can they be removed or do they keep being added till your hard drive is full to the brim with updates to things we may or may not use?
Any help would be appreciated . Thanks TimFitz

one way to save space is to delete the uninstall data for updates and service packs if you're never going to uninstall them (why would you?).

see ... 00994.html or for example
