Default Re: Dell Mini 9 for Students? - 02-23-2009, 05:09 PM

For me, the only time it has been worth the hassle to use my student or EPP discount is when Dell allows the 7% to be stacked on top of a good sale price. Some sales don't combine, unfortunately, but those that do can lead to pretty hefty discounts. 7% may not sound like much, but it still saved me an extra $100 or so on my Studio laptop!

It doesn't appear that there are any discounts for K-12 students in general, but it would probably be best to ask the school directly since they may have a special arrangement with Dell. It seems that the most widely advertised student discounts are at the university level only.

Mini 9 (910): Cherry Red, N270, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB STEC SSD, XP Home
Mini 10v (1011): Passion Purple, N270, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, XP Home
Inspiron 11z (1110): Passion Purple, SU4100, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, Win7
Alienware M11x R1: Cosmic Black, SU7300, 4 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, Win7
Latitude 2110: Blue Ribbon, N470, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, Touchscreen, Win7
Zino HD (400): True Blue, Athlon X2 3250e, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, Win7
Plus a few others not discussed here...
