Default Re: Micosoft Office One Note and RAM upgrade? - 03-02-2009, 08:49 PM

RunCore is a brand of solid-state disk. Think of it like a hard disk except that it uses memory chips instead of a rotating platter. RunCore SSDs are available in 16, 32 and 64GB sizes. The RunCore SSD is also faster than the STEC brand that Dell installs.

The 64GB RunCore is $219. Smaller ones are cheaper. You do not need an external CD drive to upgrade - the RunCore SSDs have a MicroUSB port and a cable is supplied. With this and software such as Acronis True Image (free trial available), you can copy the stock SSD to the RunCore easily.

I have most of Office 2007 installed on my Mini.
