A couple of weeks ago the SSD
on my Mini 9 died. I talked to Dell tech support via their chat system. They thought it might be the motherboard as well as the drive (which would make more sense on why it might fail earlier than usual). Because of the possible motherboard problem, they had me send it in to them (instead of just shipping me a new SSD
I just got it back yesterday and turned it on. It did a whole automatic unpack and re-install process when I turned it on, so I just let it be. When it finally finished and I was back into a fresh copy of XP, I shut it down to see if they had done anything with the motherboard. They must have, because my Mini was at BIOS version A03 when I sent it in, and when I got it back it was at A00.
Anyway, I was looking in the BIOS and it said my SSD
was a 32GB SSD
! I booted it back into Windows just to check there as well, and sure enough, it really was a 32GB SSD
This totally makes up for my past gripes I had with Dell for totally fouling up my original purchase process!
