Default help with chrome os install - 11-20-2012, 12:53 AM

I tried installing chrome os on my mini 9 I'm using the april 2012 release for the dell mini 9.

I have a 4gb ssd and everytime I go into the install part by hitting ctrl+alt+t and type in install I get this issue

initctl: Unknown instance:
umount2: No such file or directory
umount: /media/*/*: not found

ERROR: cgpt add: GptSanityCheck() returned 3: GPT_ERROR_INVALID_ENTRIES

I have no idea what that error means... I have tried using a lot of different chrome os images and all show the same thing...

is my SSD too small to install the OS on? is it not formatted correctly? does anyone else have any good input?

Have you tried it from a USB flash drive? I have got mine to boot from a flash drive, however I have to installed it on my internal hard drive. As far as your 4GB internal, that should be large enough.

it worked installing it on my 16gb ssd so I think it needed more space.
