Default Aftermarket hicap batteries? - 06-14-2012, 07:15 PM

Has anyone had any luck with any aftermarket high capacity batteries for the mini9? I purchased one, but it only charged to 100% once, and went down drastically from there (maxed at 75% second time, 40% third, etc...). It also took over 24 hours to get to capacity. The vendor sent a replacement, but looks the same so far.

The one I got from MyDigitalDiscount worked very well, but I read that people who bought a later revision weren't as happy.

I ordered and am using ones from

I got the extended battery for my Mini9 and it has worked flawlessly to date. Very happy with it. There were no issues recognising the battery, and I get about 10hrs of life from it.

I also got an extended battery for my Studio 14. I also have no issues and went from about 2.5hrs to 5hrs. While I hardly use my Mini anymore, I regularly use the Studio 14, and the battery has held up to date. September will make it 1 yr since I have had them.

Well, the replacement only charged to 90% and charged to that several times in a row, but charged to 100% last night and is at 49% after 2.5 hours of use, so I guess I'm happy. Thanks for the feedback.
