Angry mini 9 Will not boot with new 32Gb ssd - 02-03-2012, 01:17 PM

hi have a mini 9 that as far as i knew had a faulty ssd. I removed old drive and it booted fine could install to portable ide drive and from usb. Purchased new drive from Memory C installed and the best i can get is a slight flash from the display. If i remove the drive it boots normally and can choose boot order etc. Have set to boot from cd caddy but only flash on screen . Please help whats the most likley faulty drive or faulty dell ?

What is the exact brand and model of the SSD you purchased?

I recommend this for any SSD drives 8GB and higher:
STEC 8GB SSD 0MB in BIOS

Quick TFTPD32 Win Setup PXE Boot To deploy Ubuntu 11.10
Change DHCP tab setting to fit your needs.
Check TFTP tab shows "Bind TFTP" as your deployment computer IP.

0MB SSD BIOS fix for Mini 9 Notebooks
Works for 8GB STEC and Higher SSDs
