I am the "father" of 6 bought from Dell Hackintoshes, 2 Windows based Dell Mini 9's and one Dell Mini10 XP (the version that does not play well with OSX)
3 are running strong with no issues and 3 need work. This weekend will be fixing 2 32GB Hacks and one 64GB Hack and then try to load Win7 on the low end Dell Mini 10 (1GB mem).
I am so proud of my Hackintosh babies.
Keep your fingers crossed

Will install OSX for Food

I use my mini9 every day for ebooks, marine navigation, Skype, chat, maintenance log, email, web, videos etc.
I'm running OSX 10.6.7 (with virtual XP on Fusion for running Garmin software)
A friend bought a 64 ipad, then decided it really needs a keyboard.
Now he complains that he should have got me to build him a mini10 running osx, instead.
I'm starting to think about finding another one as a backup, in case this one is lost/stolen or completely dies. Though...instead of a mini9, I may just find a Mini10 and swap out the HD for an SSD.
Maybe someone here has their old OEM SSD sitting in a drawer and are willing to part with it ?

I still have mine, bought new with Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. Recently picked up a second one for my daughter to use as well as a better optioned Vostro A90. I use it pretty much every day; email and surfing the web while sitting in bed, spreadsheets and occasional word processing. Also travels with me on vacation. Had been using Ubuntu since Hardy 8.04 but after Unity ruined Ubuntu, I switched to Xubuntu.
Primary system - Vostro A90 | Xubuntu 11.10 | Runcore 32GB | 2GB RAM | 8GB SDHC | 1.3 Webcam | Bluetooth | BIOS A06 | Logitech M305 wireless mouse
Second system - Mini 9 | Windows XP | STEC 8GB | 2GB RAM | 1.3 Webcam | Bluetooth | Bios A06
Third system - Mini 9 | hoping to set up as a hackintosh, that is if the Supertalent 32GB SSD cooperates. This drive did not play nice with windows XP though it's perfectly happy with Xubuntu 11.10 | 2GB RAM | BIOS A04.
