This is very true, an OEM license is a single installation license for the other laptop. Most OEM disks from laptops are for that specific model line and will check the hardware. You also need to know that the Mini 9 is 32-bit only and will not run a 64-bit operating system.
If you did not image the drive before sending it off then you CAN install the operating system which you should have a OEM license sticker on the bottom for as long as it is some version of XP (probably home version). Not sure what you can do about Word 2007 because that license will not be on a sticker. You can download a Dell OEM XP disk image at your own risk through file share.
