Question Can't Get to IE8 - 02-24-2011, 09:06 PM

Using the touchpad I have a problem with it clicking on links, that I don't mean to, that I must have hovered over too long or something.

Last week it clicked on something and I had the worst experience I've ever had....the screen started flipping and went haywire and either I clicked it off or it did by itself. I really don't remember (panic) Then I couldn't get into anything on my Dell Mini 9. And a ad saying I had a virus came up and I could fix it for 70.00.

I ran the MalwareBytes and CCleanup they came up with nothing.

I didn't have any security on her as she is a backup.

I shut down and have just now gone back to it

I can't get on IE8. I'm connected to DSL through a wireless gateway on my desktop, but can't get online.

What have I done? What is your guess happened?

What do I have to do now?

Thank you for any suggestions.
