Re: Using aircraft mode so battery will live longer! - 01-22-2009, 01:22 PM
So is this the typical scenario you are referring to?
Sitting at home, set Airplane mode on, Battery plugged in, AC power plugged in and work on the Mini as long as I like. The Airplane mode will keep me at about 40%.
When I want to take it on the go, disable Airplane mode, leave it plugged in for an hour or so to charge up the battery to 100%, and go out and play.
Question, when I enable Airplane mode at home, do I need to have my power level start out below 40% or will the Mini drain the battery down to 40% and then switch to AC mode automatically?
I don't think this is too high maintenance especially since I went through 3 batteries in 3 years with my Lenovo. At $150 a pop, I don't mind a little extra work.
