Wink 1024 x 768 (and 1152x864!) on Dell Mini 9 - 09-13-2010, 08:05 AM

This works on my Dell Mini 9!!! Force your Dell Mini 9 or ANY netbook with a GMA 500 graphic card and a Diamondville processor to display
1024 x 768.
You can EVEN make it go up to 1152 x 864.
Hurray!

Well done guys @ lilputing.com:

Driver update kind of brings higher resolutions to netbooks higher resolution

Cheers,

Digitall

First of all, you meant GMA950. This driver appears to have been created by Intel but the source is a Samsung site. Interesting. It claims to be older than the standard Win7 driver.

Default Gma950 - 09-13-2010, 09:35 PM

Thanks Steve! You're quite right of course, thanks for the corrections - GMA950 it is! I found this Intel/Samsung driver worked first time on my Mini 9, giving me the option of forcing the display to 1024 x 768 (and higher) which is so useful where you can't even use the trick of rotating the display into portrait mode to access the part of the screen you need to use. I find this problem usually happens in the options & preferences area of some programs (where there are no slider bars to get to the part of the screen you need...) Great site by the way

All the best,

Digitall

Seems to work pretty well initially, and wow the extra screen space is great!
