Default Replacement for Dell Mini 9 SSD (STEC) - 08-23-2010, 07:08 PM

Hi,

I think my STEC 16 Gbyte SSD died. Which one of the same size should I buy? RUncore seems a bit too expensive for such an old netback.

Any thoughts on the Super Talent

I'm running on a Super Talent right now. The Runcore was a little over priced at the time.

Personally, I've never compared them side-by-side, but the reports from other websites were showing about the same speeds as the Runcore.

If you can get it for a good price, I strongly reccomend it. I think I bought mine for around $75-$80 USD. If you can't find a good deal, I'd just spend the extra $10 or $20 bucks on the Runcore. Just my opinion.

Goodluck on finding deals and enjoy your future purchase.

EDIT: Sorry. I should mention that I purchased the FEM32GFDL. A little bigger then what you're looking for, but I'm pretty sure they put out around the same speeds.

My OEM STEC is still plugging along (knock on wood ), so I don't need a new SSD. But the 2nd gen SuperTalent (GFDL suffix indicates 2nd gen) would probably be my choice if I needed one.
