internet sharing to devices from eth0 out to eth1 - 07-27-2010, 06:48 PM
Just wondering if anybody has done this.
I'm still running the original Ubuntu that shipped on my mini9 (was it 8.04?) and been wanting to get the wifi card configured in master mode instead of managed or adhoc (so that it presents itself as an Access Point).

I dunno if it'd work for you, but if I had a wireless signal I wanted to share, I'd try to use a wireless router running DD-WRT. DD-WRT is aftermarket software for some wireless routers. It offers many features and modes. Repeater or Repeater Bridge mode (described here) would probably be what you want.
