Question A basic question: is it possible to use Function keys? - 06-04-2010, 01:09 AM

Hey all, this has been bothering me for a long time but I just haven't decided yet that's important enough to open a thread about it... You see, as the thread's title says I am interested if it's possible to somehow use the so-called Function keys (i.e. F1, F2, F3 etc.) with Dell Mini 9?

At first I thought it is (possible) with the use of Dell Mini's own "function key", however so far I couldn't make it work. And the thing is that I really miss them (keyboard's F1, F2, F3 etc. keys) in some specific cases like when I wanto to pack files with F6 in Total Commander, use the F2 key as Pause/Resume the game (in case of hang-ups) in Project64 (it's a Nintendo Emulator) etc.

Thanks for any reply, satyr

I don't know what keyboard you have, but my USA Mini 9 has function keys via Fn+A for F1, Fn+S for F2, etc. The keyboard is labeled in blue for special keys. And they always work.

WIth BIOS A02 or later, F11 and F12 are Fn-Z and Fn-X
