Default Best way to clean under the mouse buttons? - 03-19-2010, 04:45 AM

i spilled some soda onto my a90 and it got on the trackpad area... i cleaned it up pretty good and all was good until the next day when the soda that got under the trackpad buttons dried up and now the buttons "stick" when i press them. whats the best way to get down there and clean em?

That's a tough one. you could remove the whole palm rest and try rinsing it and then drying it off with some compressed air..

Risky tho!

Soda can be deadly to electronics. Open the computer up and clean as suggested above. And look for any indication that the soda may have gotten deeper into the machine. like onto the motherboard.

If you have to clean deeper (beyond the palmrest), be sure to remove all power sources (AC, battery, clock battery).
