Default Hot Keys for Maximizing Web Browser and Programs - 02-24-2010, 03:40 PM

I read the DellMini9 has excluded F11 and F12 keys.

I understand 'F11' is used to maximize web browser window and 'F12' is used as a programmed shortcut key.

What has Dell done to achieve these tasks without the F11 and F12 keys?

With the last few BIOS updates Fn + Z is F11, FN + X is F12.

The most recent versions of the Mini 9's BIOS have added F11 as FN+Z and F12 as FN+X (if I remember correctly - don't have my Mini 9 in front of me at the moment). I can't remember if that functionality was first added in A03 or A04 - maybe someone else does. In any event, updating the BIOS eliminates the issue, so there are no work-arounds necessary.
