Default Need help updating firmware A06 on OS X - 02-06-2010, 11:46 PM

I have my Mini 9 finally setup with OS X 10.6.2 (I'm loving it), but I am a little disappointed that that there are no F11 and F12. I read that I can get this fixed and get replaced the Fn+Z&X keys to fix this problem with the A06 firmware on Dell's driver site. Yea I can just make a simple shortcut but I'm a little geeky when it comes to having the latest update. It is an exe file so I am a little unsure how to make the update without DOS when I have OS X. Can anyone help me out? Also if I were to make this firmware update would it "break" anything on OS X? Thanks in advance.

No way I know of to update it from OS X. You could probably make a Windows bootable usb stick, boot to it and install the exe from there.

Use this download on some other Windows system to create a bootable USB key that will flash BIOS A06 (and all the others if you want). A06 works fine with OS X.
