When I got my Mini 9 it came with Ubuntu and an 8gb ssd
. I've since ordered a 32gb ssd
and 2gb ram but being the holidays shipping is slow. In the meantime I decided quickly that I didn't like Ubuntu (various reasons but mostly becuase it would hang the entire OS shortly after TSing into any of my other machines) Anyway, I grabbed a copy of XP I had laying around and threw it onto the machine. This went smooth and the only other apps I installed where, windows updates, AVG Anti virus, Google Chrome browser, VLC Player and the FFDShow codec packs (need them for watching top gear) Now when I first installed the OS I remember it only taking up about 5gb of the drive. Just yesterday I started getting warnings about space on my HD. I store no files locally and I've cleared my browser cache in both IE and Chrome and I still only have about 700mb free on the HD.
Any tips for getting space back? I know this will all be a moot point when I get my HD, but I figured I'd ask to tide me over for the next few days.
