a90 No Longer in Outlet - 12-02-2009, 04:13 AM
The a90 disappeared from the Business & Education Outlet last week, but the Mini 9 is still in Home & Home Office Outlet (although there aren't any in stock at the moment).
Having both systems, I would go with the 10v if I were buying one now.

ok so you say this, but why? It is pretty hard to get to the internals because there isnt an access bay, so you have to take it apart. That can be dangerous a lot of things can go wrong and ull be stuck with a paper weight.
The mouse i hear is unusable.
And its glossy.
But hte keyboard is nice.
I keep going back and forth between the two.
OHHOHOHO one more thing, the 6-cell battery on the mini 10v is ugly as hell, it sticks out like crazy and tilts the whole thing up. People say its nice because it acts like a handle. I say they say that just to comfort themselves because its the worst netbook battery design.
Man this is hard.

I have a mini 9, my wife has the 10v. I don't use the desktop any more, the 9 does everything I need. I like the size; the 10v seems kind of bulky after using the 9 for so long. Both are quite portable but the 9 is easier to pack and use in tight quarters, like on an airplane. The keyboard is fine now that I am used to it and makes normal size keyboards seem big; I make more errors on the 10v.
The bigger screen on the 10v is nice, but the 9 screen works fine for me with movies, email, surfing etc. The 10v trackpad is not a problem for us, although I like the buttons on the 9 better. I would say if you want something really easy to tote around, get the 9. If that is not an important consideration, you may like the 10v better.
