Default Mini 9 UFD Boot Capabilities - 11-26-2009, 08:39 PM

I am trying to understand the Mini 9 UFD (USB Flash Drive) boot capabilities. I am trying to make the interface/install of
software on my Mini 9 easier by using UFDs only.

UFDs can be formatted to look like a HDD, FDD, ZIP, Removable Media, Fixed Media, etc. I can boot from all of these UFD formats
on my Desktop System. My Mini 9, however, seems to be able to only boot from a UFD formatted like a FDD (using the "Removable
Devices" boot option). Maybe I just don't understand.

Can anyone provide me info, or point me to where I can get info, on the specific capabilities of the Mini 9 relative to what format of UFD devices it can boot from?

With a flash drive or USB hard drive, it's just a typical, old-fashioned, IBM PC, BIOS/MBR boot.

Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit
