Default Rhythmbox cover art problem - 11-15-2009, 09:01 PM

I am using dell/s 8.04 lpia for the mini 9. Currently, the most updated Rhythmbox player is 0.11.5. Unfortunately, the Rhythmbox player is unable to retrieve cover art! I heard this problems has been fixed in newer versions... but Dell has yet to update the repositories (one reason to dump dell,s lpia version)... Does anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks guys!

At the risk of sounding pretentious - the best solution out there is to get rid of the Dell version of Ubuntu installed and install the standard x86 Ubuntu 9.10 instead.

Dell does a really poor job of maintaining their repositories, but by changing to the standard version you get to keep up with all the latest updates maintained by the paid staff of Canonical and volunteers in the Ubuntu community. Worth every penny of time to do the upgrade!
