Default Touchpad Scrolling Freezes in Win7 - 09-30-2009, 06:59 AM

Anyone else have issues with this? After a period of time (indeterminate and sometimes accompanying flash failure), the touchpad no longer allows me to scroll. The only way to recover scrolling ability is to turn off Mini9. It is a drag. Also happens in Xp Pro.

Also have frequent Intel graphic driver failures that recover after waking from sleep.

Yes. I get the same problems on the RC copy. I'm hoping this gets fixed when I buy Windows 7.

Is it the scrolling freezing and does it happen after a full screen flash video? This is a problem I have hade with the synaptic touchpad in the Mini 9. Pressing spacebar allows the scrolling to work again. Not sure if this is what you were describing.

@Hoogy

Thanks. I will give it a try next time issue comes up. Yes , it usually happens after full screen flash viewing and only after flash freezes. And it only happens on certain sites. Amazingly I get great Hulu and Fancast playback.

No problems here, and I'm running the full version of Windows 7 Professional.

Yep, had this issue and found another driver that was more compatible with Windows 7

Have you tried the just released 14.0.3 drivers from Synaptics?

I just installed W7 Pro and installed the Synaptics driver from Dell and the touchpad locks up periodically, seems to happen during scrolling, it will stop and just hang.
I'll try Synaptic drivers tomorrow.
