Default installing windows 7-- does my plan sound good? - 09-26-2009, 07:13 AM

im trying to install windows 7 on my a90. so far i have downloaded the rc (i got it a while ago, just before they took it down), then i plan to run it through vlite using the "how to installwin7 to take up 3gb of space" guide, then after that i will use wintoflash to put it on a flash drive.
Any reccomendations? suggestions? Is it better to use an external dvd drive rather than a flash drive? does widows 7 still have the "asms' error that xp has?

in case you didnt know, wintoflash is a freeprogram to prepare your flash drive for bootability and installing windows, so you don have to do all the formatting and command line stuff.
WinToFlash - Install Windows from usb - Home page
I know the site seems shady, but lifehacker reccomended it.

thanks for the help

We have a forum section dedicated to Windows 7 and there's lots of good tips there. If you have an external DVD drive, use that.
