From my experience with emulators, yes. Each emulator is it's own program, therefore you'll have to set it up within each one...but it's usually an easy process. Most emulators I've seen, when you're setting them up, walk you through the process by asking you to press up, then down, then right, then left, then whatever button you want to be "A" or "B" or "X" or "Y"...so you just follow along, pressing the buttons and in a few seconds PRESTO!!! you're setup and on your way to slaying Bowser or hacking up bushes with your Zelda sword
On a side note, emulation is the only form of piracy I fully support, and that's only because you can't get the systems OR the games new anymore anyway...and buying used does not put money in the pockets of the original designers/developers, so they're "dead products." Nintendo, as far as I know, will never make another dollar off of an original NES system sale or someone buying a Paperboy cartridge off eBay...
