Ever thought of moving the entire taskbar to the right (or left) if you don't like autohide?

Takes a bit of getting used too, but once you do, you won't go back. What you gain in the length of real estate far outweighs what you lose in width, they are widescreen after all.

Cheers to a great thread!!! Anything that saves a little space to view a website on a smaller screened device gets a thumbs up from me!

That Tiny Menu program is great! Also kudos for the smaller tabs!

This is excellent stuff, thanks for all the info. I got Fission and love it. I'm gonna use it on all my other machines now. I found this Firefox add-on that does a lot of the things like compacting the tabs, small icons etc. It's called Classic Compact.

Don't forget that on Ubuntu the "Windows" key gives you a full-screen' Some folks don't like that but I found it to be handy from time to time and it is quick!

I made my firefox look a bit more like chrome. Addons I'd recommend:

Chromifox Extreme (Carbon)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10674 (Blue)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10883 (Carbon)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11413 (Blade)

Personal Menu (When set right, removes all the menus into a single button)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...#version-4.2.0
(Beta)

Speed Dial (Instead of bookmarks)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810

When you get it set up right, it takes only a little more space than Chrome, but you get Ad Block and FF3.5.

Sorry, no Screenshots atm.
