Default Dell build sheet fun...What dis mean??? - 02-03-2009, 07:39 PM

Hey All...

Ok...was looking over my 'build sheet' from Dell. There are 2 lines on that jumped out at's a quote below...

J513J Module,Hard Drive,80G,4.2K,Ide(integrated Drive Electronics)SA080,Inspiron $0.01
(IDE interface????)

Then it has this...

X068J Module,Information,Dual In-line Memory Module,1G,800 Inspiron $0.01
(DIMM MODULE? I thought it was soldered on??)

Dell's specs say that drive is PATA, which is (close enough for government work) IDE.

While the memory is soldered to the board, the RAM and CPU are on a daughtercard that is not part of the system board.
