Default possible to change processor/ram module - 04-02-2010, 12:54 PM

is it possible to change the processor module from the mini 12 (Atom Z530) with another processor module from a mini? Because the Linux support of the poulsbo chipset is terrible.

Inspiron 12 Laptop Details | Dell

IntelĀ® AtomTM Z520 Processor (1.33GHz, 512KB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
IntelĀ® AtomTM Z530 Processor (1.60GHz, 512KB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)

There are only 2 options. If you have the Z520, you could replace it with the Z530 Module.

Well that sorta looks like it takes the same CPU/RAM module as the 11z.

Would it work if you fitted one? NO IDEA.

/Would like to know if anyone tries though!
