Default Windows 7 performance in Mini 12 - 01-18-2010, 04:03 AM

Hi guy,

im wondering how is your mini 12 work in windows 7?? did you guys manage to run the full windows aero with mini 12?

Mine is only smooth when i disable 99% of the windows aero~

Of course i“ve disabled Aero completely. Also the Animation of DropDownMenus and such things. The 2D Acceleration of the windows is quite bad, too. But for a typingmachine it“s ok.
(By the way, did you had an unknown device in your device manager after installing win7? :-) )

I'm running Windows 7 fine, it got even better with a SSD-drive!

The unknown device is the same as with the Mini 10 - it is the battery driver - you can download the Mini 10 driver for Windows 7 and it works fine.

In fact,you can hardly have a good experience in win7,because it takes too much Memory(about 800M),and you will not have enough ram to run other program.

xp is better,if you don't care about the eye candy...

I have a find experience with Windows 7 ultimate, I just switched to a basic theme.

Never really taken it further then web browsing though. Speaker is too quiet
