Just saw that. Not the least bit surprising, honestly.

Id say its more due to natural progression, the mini 9 was phased out, now the mini 12 is being phased out - it wasnt a massive seller...although my wife loves hers! A lot of people go on about how there is no use for a mini 12...but my wife uses email, word and firefox and doesnt want to squint to read it, so i think it suits a lot of people, plus it was a sexy bit of kit...compared to this new E4300 robo-dog I am now forced to use for work...RIP Mini 12!

I love my Mini 12 and glad I got one before they were phased out!

I notice that the colored and patterned LCD lids for the mini 9/10/12 are now creeping their way onto the internet in the same way that other phased out Dell laptops with colored lids did.

So, if you want to switch up from Obsidian Black or Alpine White, you can do so for $30 and a bit of labor.

I love the mini 12 as well. I understand the complaints of those who wanted something else. I think the problem was that Dell was a bit deceptive in their advertising. When I bought it, I knew exactly what I was getting. I feel that many others did not.
