Well, after 1 month and 15 calls to Dell, I finally figured out what is taking so long:
On May 21st I placed an order for 2 10v's (1 black/1 pink). Est. Delivery date = June 16th.
Once everyone started to get theirs I began my witch hunt.
June 16th came and the order delivery date was changed to June 25.
Between June 10th and June 22, I called and emailed Dell a total of 15 times. Each time I explained that my order was still stuck "In Production". I explained that when I entered my credentials on the "Billing Info" link, the order was magically changed to "Pre Production"
Each time, I was assured that it would be moving into production shortly and that an email has been sent to the Concern Department.
I spoke to 3 managers during this time and they all game me the same explanation.
Well, today, June 22, I decided to place a new order for the same 2 machines.
This time, I got back 2 separate order numbers under the same Purchase ID.
EST Delivery date July 2nd.
My previous order had the 2 laptops under the same Purchase and Order number.
I called Dell and told them. This part is great. The Rep tells me, "Oh yes, I see, this happens a lot. Sometimes, when ordering the same item under the same cart, the orders get stuck in a loop". She then transfers me to someone else.
The next guy, explains to me that my first order was "illegal" as the system didnt know how to process it. I asked him how this could get past 15 other reps. Of course, there was no answer.
He then tells me that he will cancel my first order and expedite my new order(S) to the warehouse manager.
I asked him how long it normally takes once expedited. He responded, 7 to 10 business days.
I told him it's not really an expedition as my Est. delivery date is July 2nd. He gave the me the same standard Dell reply...."We will do our best to get the orders shipped as soon as possible"
So, to anyone that ordered 2 machines, make sure you get 2 separate order numbers. Don't let them squeeze both items into one.
