I tried the tip in the above post,However 1024x576 is not listed there either my Mini has always been at the current 1024x768 but I got it as Previously Ordered new from Dell Outlet,I am afraid to mess with the driver just yet as the one they have is for the 945 video not the 500 that I have,even the driver on the cd that came with my Mini has the 945 driver?

I can't be much help with the driver question (seems like Dell may have made a mistake somewhere), but I'm wondering if you actually have an HD screen instead of the standard screen. If that's the case, 1024 x 576 may not be an option for you. My unit has the non-HD screen, which does not list 1366 x 768 as an option. However, according to Dell's website, that is the native resolution for the HD screen. You may want to check to see what your order says, or type in your service tag on Dell's website to see the original configuration details. Maybe your unit was ordered with the upgraded screen!
