I am a computer programmer, but not a hardware guy at all. Swapping the 1 Gig for 2 was a breeze in my Mini 9, but I am not up for the challenge of doing this with the Mini 10v that will be delivered soon.
What are my options?
I live in Toronto, and there are many shops on College street that "repair" laptops. But I don't really know if I can trust them to take the care required for such a small (and recently purchased!) device... Does it make sense for me to print out pics/instructions, pre-order the RAM from Crucial, and then take the whole kit and kaboodle to one of these shops, saying "You do it, please"?
I also have a friend who is very comfortable repairing and building desktops, but again, with a Mini, I am having some "trust" issues? From what I have read it is not easy to do even for guys with a lot of experience working on laptops.
