Hi everyone:
I just received my Dell Mini 10 four days ago and it freezes on shutdown. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell Tech Support and we ended up reinstalling the entire OS (XP SP3 Home). No problem ... or so I thought.
Well, today it again froze at shutdown. I was able to restore to an XP restore point I had saved after the reinstall of the OS and allll my software (I had done a CYA restore point). After the restore to that CYA point, the computer shutdown normally. I was flabberghasted because I did not do anything today except log onto my local library's WiFi Internet and request some books. Sheesh!
I do have the most current BIOS (A04) and no unusual software installed. I am going to contact Dell about this issue to develop a paper trail of the problem.
If anyone has any syggestions, please do reply. I will also post about Dell's responses to this issue.
Thanks,
Outspoken1
